The Sighthound Lounge is set in glorious Wiltshire countryside. We are very fortunate as we have a half-acre secure garden, and four and a half acres of our own grassy fields, orchard and stream which dogs just love to explore.
The Sighthound Lounge is Wiltshire Council approved and licensed. We hold a 4 STAR rating. LN/000022014
Our Aim is to ensure that owners can go away safe in the knowledge that their dogs are getting the same love, care and attention that they would get at home. All dogs boarding with the Sighthound Lounge get a dog holiday of their own, treated as one of our family pets (ie thoroughly spoilt!), with love and cuddles and lots of exercise. They will go home tired but happy!
We are fully insured with Protectivity for Pet Business Insurance.
I was bought up around whippets, and have passed this passion onto my own family.
My first whippet, Megan was my constant companion throughout a large part of my Army career and boy did she charm all those she met! I have never been without a whippet by my side since. We currently share our home with our gorgeous mother and daughter whippets, Skye & Violet, along with our 3 ponies, chickens and the occasional visiting sheep & goats.
Like all hound owners, we have been well trained in their quirky ways; their likes (snuggle beds and stealing snacks), their dislikes (cold, wind, rain and early morning starts!). We have faced the challenges of finding the perfect place for our whippets to be cared for when we holiday. The solution often being to rely on family & friends to ‘ hound sit’. This is where the idea for the Sighthound Lounge was born. We are passionate about giving care to the high standards that we would expect for our own hounds.
So, we are delighted to welcome you and your dog to ‘The Sighthound Lounge’ luxury home from home boarding. After all, our perfect evening in, is spent sharing a sofa with all of our pointy-nose pals.
